Today’s question is:

“Does working out on an empty stomach help burn more fat than otherwise?”

Consequences of Exercising without eating?

When working out on an empty stomach it’s such a fine line between whether you are actually going to be burning fat or burning muscle for fuel that I really wouldn’t want to take the chance.

What is best for burning fat is doing short and intense workouts, that is the best way to make drastic and lasting changes to your body in regards to both building muscle and burning fat.

So should you eat before exercise?

If you haven’t haven't eaten for 10 to 16 hours I highly recommend having a meal especially before working out, so if you wake up in the morning and you have to get to the gym, I highly recommend trying to get something into your stomach about an hour before your workout, I recommend a small cup of oatmeal, a small cup of greek yoghurt or even a small piece of toast with peanut butter, those are all good options

And remember when you go to the gym and you get that brief intense workout in that is going to be best for burning fat, after that workout you want to replenish with another meal of a good quality protein and a carb for the best results.
